No Longer Officially Crappy

It's official: We are mediocre.

The news came down that we have exited Program Improvement status, a designation given to terrible schools thatmust make changes or risk a state takeover, among other sanctions. As this article in the local paper outlines http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/living/education/12701229.htm 29 schools in our county are on the "list;" we were one of two schools -- and the only middle school -- to exit. There are 1,700 Program Improvement schools and we are no longer one of them. We are lower middle class. Success by avoiding failure!

In all seriousness, numerous schools get put on this list and few get out without a state takeover. We did and we rule.

Gee, with results like that I can see why you are so disparaging of the Kipp model. You guys sure don't have anything to apologize for.
