According to the Washington Post's estimable Jay Matthews and recent partner-in-crime Walt Gardner, this here blog, which all of you may continue to read free of charge, is the fourteenth best education blog in the entire United States. Thanks for anyone who told em the writing on this site was strong.

Next year, 13th place!!

I actually tell every teacher I know, and even some non-teachers, about your blog. On days when I am feeling uninspired or unmotivated to plan a quality lesson, I pop into your blog to stir my educational passion.

So many of your entries are followed by me yelling at my computer in agreement.

Yay to 14th place!

Congratulations! This blog definitely deserves the ranking. I've passed the link on to many too, and found a lot of inspiration on these pages, and lots of antidotes to self-pity and whining.

Meanwhile, I'm eagerly waiting for a more recent writing sample from the student you introduced in September with the quote "I tenk the es net god to go in the dark. I cot get hor en yu ren gen the en mi opor non of os to get or. vi car cut hat os en the dark en mor es uy pas the estuits."

How's he doing?
