About Me
- Name: Kilian Betlach
- Location: Bay Area, California, United States
For six years, I taught reading and writing to ELL and SpEd students. I stumbled through the job of Athletic Director and continuously hired myself as a basketball coach. I served as union rep and was classified as a TFA Almuni. I earned a Masters in Educational Leadership & Administration, producing a collaborative thesis through a haze of distraction. The writings on this site garnered a certain amount of praise, as well as the ire of District leadership. I am no longer a teacher.

wow, that is fabulous. look at san francisco- half the city is red, half is blue. guess which half?
The half I live in.
Thanks for the positive feedback! I'm still working out a few kinks in this -- such as what to do about inaccurate location data in the Cal. school directory database -- and more than glad to hear suggestions for improvements.
Do you feel like averaging the last 3 API ranks (and requiring valid ranks for at least 2 of the last 3 years) is statistically valid?
Thanks,
Kevin

yes, and also the half of the city where i will live AND send my kid to school. i better work on improving those schools in the next five years.
is it bad that i see areas half red half blue and have to stop and remind myself that google maps are not coded by gang color? i would love to see this done for chicago schools, except i fear that the whole map would be red.
tmao, long time no talk. how's things?

If we did divide schools along Norte and Sur lines, who would achieve more? I'm guessing Nortes, only becuase they seem to have a firmer grounding in the English.
Katie! Things go well in that strange way of how the hell did I end up doing all of this way. Are you ruining the curve for everyone else?
